Future Technology Be My Valentine

By | February 14th, 2017|

Our World Happens in the “Space Between” So Should Our Technologies… I am passionate about businesses embracing and harnessing that beautiful space between the 1’s and 0’s, that statistical gray where cognitive, context, and AI can flourish. I love that soon in this lifetime we will see the impacts that quantum computing has on information management, emerging as a go to enabler of massive computations of data all at once, representing a seismic shift in the very way we compute. Hand me those rose colored glasses because […]

AIIM Conference Focuses on the Opportunities from ‘Information Chaos’

By | April 9th, 2014|

The AIIM Conference 2014 held last week in Orlando was all about “information chaos” and the opportunities for organizations that manage enterprise content not merely to make sense of the rapidly expanding volumes of content bring created, but to use them to strength the entire enterprise. Systemware was a Gold Sponsor of the event and as an exhibitor our focus was on Content Cloud, our new approach to content storage and access. Content Cloud enables organizations to maximize the value of all of their enterprise content by providing intuitive accessibility, infrastructure resiliency and cost efficiencies. In his published keynote address, AIIM President John Mancini, noted how, “Content and information is coming at us at breakneck speed in an ever-changing array of formats and on PCs and laptops and tablets and phones. Organizations are struggling with the cost of legacy systems of record and fearful of the loss of control that’s represented by new systems of engagement. Everywhere I turn, I hear about organizations struggling with this Information Chaos. I believe that managing Information Chaos is the business challenge of the next decade.” […]

Systemware to Help Sponsor AIIM Conference 2014, Lead Roundtable on Controlling ‘Information Chaos’

By | February 27th, 2014|

The AIIM Conference 2014 is set for April 1-3 in Orlando; and Systemware is proud to be a Gold Sponsor and leader of a roundtable discussion: “Controlling the Chaos of Mainframe & Distributed Content.” The AIIM Conference isn’t a trade show, but rather an interactive educational conference that focuses on helping organizations succeed in what AIIM calls the “era of Information Chaos.” Those in charge of enterprises with large-scale, real-time and security-intensive content management demands are all too familiar with the concept of information chaos. They are challenged with creating and maintaining an infrastructure that’s always accessible, secure, and able to efficiently manage the volume and velocity of content. They must unite disjointed systems to provide cost-effective redundancy and disaster recovery even while reducing operating costs. […]

Systemware in 2013: Innovation, Thought Leadership and Content Cloud

By | December 18th, 2013|

As another year winds down, it’s clear that for Systemware, 2013 was far from just another year. We focused, as planned, on Content Cloud, our new approach to content storage and access. We announced new releases and enhancements to several other products. And we continued to be active in projects that demonstrated our thought leadership in the ECM space. We talked in January about how this year our focus would be on Systemware Content Cloud. And so it has been. Through our white paper and numerous blog posts, we have shared how Content Cloud delivers infrastructure resiliency, optimized access and deployment flexibility. We’ve talked about Content Cloud in webinars and fielded questions about it at trade shows including the Gartner Symposium ITxpo. Systemware’s Annual Toy-Donation Luncheon Helps Fill Anna’s Closet with Gifts for Young Cancer Patients

By | November 26th, 2013|

This year’s Toys for Pizza Luncheon was a great example of the charitable work we do at Systemware and another opportunity for our employees to support an organization working to help young people dealing with sarcoma cancers. Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer, took the life of young Anna Lee Basso in 2011. From that ordeal grew the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation, which works to help find ways to defeat the disease and help those affected by it. Among its projects is Anna’s Closet, which provides small gifts and prizes to teens battling cancer at hospitals including Children’s Medical Center, where Anna was treated. This year the 1 Million 4 Anna Foundation sponsored a visit to Dallas by Landon Cooper, who lost a friend to a sarcoma cancer. The ultra-runner earlier this year raised about $100,000 for the Sarcoma Foundation of America by leading an amazing run across the country, during which he visited children’s hospitals, doctors, cancer patients and survivors. Systemware Ranked Among the Top 100 Places to Work for a Fifth Time

By | November 11th, 2013|

Just 16 Dallas-area companies have been listed among the Top 100 Places to Work in all five years the rankings have been published, and Systemware is proud to be among them. This year’s lists published by The Dallas Morning News are based on surveys completed by 69,673 employees at 321 area companies. The employees were asked how true 19 statements were for their organizations. Top 100 Places to Work rankings were compiled for large, midsize and small companies. In an article on the five-time winners, The News said, “… We have special regard for Systemware and 15 other companies that entered our first contest in 2009 and have made the Top 100 list every year since. So what possessed them to jump into untested waters with us? They believed they had something to show off and wanted to see if they were right.” Systemware CEO Dan Basso was featured prominently in that story, and explained why we participated in those first rankings five years ago. “Each of us wishes American business would embrace our philosophy of putting the employee before the company, treating everyone with respect, having fun together, sharing in our mutual success and truly living the principle that customer relationships are vital to success.” […]

Systemware Webinar Focuses on Records Management Challenges and Best Practices

By | August 14th, 2013|

The future of records management is simplicity. That is the message from our Al Griffin in the latest Systemware webinar, which focuses on the challenges of today’s record management environment, identifies the causes of those challenges, and suggests an approach to solving them. Al says, “Much about Records Management is not well understood: the myriad of laws and regulations, the details of retention schedules and records classification and so on. We’ve all seen the explosion of business information over the last five to 10 years.   And as a result, many more records need to be retained with longer periods for corporations to remain in compliance with laws and regulations. The coexistence of paper and electronic content also adds complexity to identifying, retaining and disposing of required business records.” Our director of product planning reviewed Systemware’s records management solution. “Records Manager is our feature-rich Content Cloud-based solution that manages all life cycle functions of electronically generated plus paper-based records in one comprehensive system. Records Manager is a DoD 5015.2 v.3-certified solution, which enables you to control the capture and indexing, classification, retention and destruction of all electronic and physical asset business records. “Our solution enables you to extend electronic recordkeeping capabilities to all of your current business processes, applications and repositories, which means you can better manage information, protect your company, easily pass compliance audits, and quickly handle any legal discovery matters.” The webinar includes a demonstration of Records Manager by Product Specialist Bob Manosky. By | June 28th, 2013|

The new Systemware User Interface took center stage in our latest webinar, which showed how it can be used to find, transform and deliver information located across the Systemware Content Cloud. The Content Cloud is Systemware’s integrated content network of centralized or distributed servers where content is always online and immediately available. A quick review of Content Cloud from Systemware Vice President of Marketing Frankie Basso kicked off the webinar, which quickly moved to the resolution of a real-world problem. David Basso, our vice president of sales, explained his monthly task – one that had consisted of a series of manual steps — of finding and packaging a specific set of sales results  for presentation at a monthly meeting.  Systemware Vice President of Development Pat Sheehan took it from there. By merely typing the word Sales in the search field he got access to relevant files located across the system. […]

Systemware Executives Discuss Content Cloud Solution in Two Webinars

By | June 6th, 2013|

For that webinar, “ECM Rationalization & Utilization: NOT just for Geeks Anymore,” Robert Blatt, president of Electronic Image Designers was joined by Pat Sheehan, our vice president of development. Blatt began by discussing how mounds of paper records were replaced by “an electronic overload of information.” He cited recent AIIM research that found 82 percent of firms lack an enterprise content management solution, and half of all content still sits outside ECM systems. The answer to that problem, he said, is consolidation of content management technologies in what he called a trusted environment. His advice: Assesss your issues Develop strategy Involve resources from around the organization “Plan and plan again” Select a technology and a vendor after you fully understand your needs. How Content Cloud addresses ECM’s challenges Pat Sheehan talked about those challenges in the context of the Systemware Content Cloud.
