Introducing Systemware’s Digital Mail Gateway

by Dan Basso on March 14, 2012

Today we are pleased to announce a truly trailblazing product: the Systemware Digital Mail Gateway. This new solution will enable corporations as well as print and mail providers to transform, package and deliver customer communications to consumers through digital mail providers, thus increasing consumer adoption of physical mail suppression substantially reducing print and mail costs.digital postal mail

As the electronic substitution of traditional mail continues to accelerate, we see the emergence of digital postal mail providers as an exciting opportunity to leverage our core capabilities to address the need for secure digital delivery of important documents such as statements, monthly bills, explanation of benefits (EOBs), policy notices, and much more to consumers.

How Does the Digital Mail Gateway Work?

The Digital Mail Gateway transforms raw print streams of statements, policy records, shareholder communications and other documents into an exact copy of the paper notice, and delivers an encoded and encrypted file to the digital mail provider for inclusion into the consumer’s digital mailbox. The Systemware solution can be deployed on-premises, with files processed locally, or in the cloud, hosted in Systemware’s secure cloud infrastructure. Either deployment option ensures the Digital Mail Gateway securely delivers digital mail to users and that ‘go paperless’ requests from consumers are processed quickly and efficiently.

Already a Systemware Customer?

No worries! We have created a quick and easy way for you to leverage your existing Systemware content repository with a simple plug-in. This plug-in allows you to seamlessly interface all of your customer communications with any digital postal mail provider.

Today we also are pleased to announce a partnership to provide this new product to one of the leading digital postal mail providers: Zumbox. Zumbox has created a digital mailbox for every street address in the country where an exact electronic copy of a paper item is delivered in a secure, central, online environment.

Digital postal mail seems poised to gain widespread acceptance from companies and consumers alike.  As the United States Postal Service continues to scale back operations while print and mail costs continue to rise, we are proud to be playing an integral role in creating a more efficient and more effective alternative.
