Systemware Announces the Release of Content Server 5.1

New Release Enhances Compliance, Accessibility and Performance

Addison, TX – April, 29 2009 -- Systemware, Inc. today proudly announces the release of Systemware Content Server z/OS v5.1. This new release has some exciting new features that enhance accessibility and performance of Content Server z/OS while addressing new regulatory compliance requirements. The new software release provides a long list of enhancements including the ability to manage online retention of content according to established goals and virtually unlimited storage capacity.

Systemware Content Server is the foundation of the Systemware family of enterprise content management products and is built upon almost 30 years of technology innovation. Systemware Content Server provides some of the largest companies in the United States today with the ability to capture, store, index, and manage all of their content types regardless of initial format — documents, e-mails, print streams, images, scanned images, desktop files and all other electronic content — easily and effectively.

Enhancements found in Systemware Content Server z/OS 5.1 include:

  • Manages document-level online retention of content according to established goals. Goals can be set based on content, time since capture, and time since last reference.
  • Provides virtually unlimited storage capacity. Prior release capacity restrictions have been extended beyond operating system capacity.
  • Encryption of tape archives on any z/architecture system without additional software or hardware requirements provides enhanced regulatory compliance.
  • Administrators can add and configure new message files and browse files at any time, without stopping and restarting the Content Server.
  • Global index group limitations lifted from 16 to 4095.
  • Virtual storage constraint relief by using storage 64 bit addressable storage.
  • Content Server can now manage up to 9,999,999 versions per report definition.
