University Federal Credit Union Implements Systemware for Enterprise Document Management
Addison, TX – July 14, 2009 -- Systemware, Inc. today announced that University Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Austin, Texas, has selected and implemented the Systemware FS™ suite as part of a major systems upgrade. The solution provides a single platform to proactively manage documents for its more than 134,000 members. With Systemware, University Federal Credit Union (UFCU) will improve operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and deliver an enhanced level of service to members.
Systemware provides an enterprise solution for managing documents and reports that are critical to the operations of the credit union. To coincide with UFCU’s conversion to a new core system, the solution was evaluated, selected and put into production in less than six months. The solution now manages all member account documents, electronic statements as well as reports.
Using Systemware’s open architecture, the new solution provides immediate access to all documents from UFCU’s core application, JHA Symitar. UFCU member service representatives securely view documents from Systemware without leaving their familiar financial application. The Systemware solution ensures UFCU can provide the quality member service that is a hallmark of their 73 year history.

In addition to storing documents directly from the Symitar Episys system, the implementation included a migration of documents from an optical-based platform to Systemware FS using a faster, redundant SAN for storage. The flexibility and openness of the Systemware FS application will allow for future integration with UFCU’s various third party vendors.
