ADDISON, TX– May 21, 2008 -- Systemware, Inc., an innovative leader in enterprise content management, announced today that US Airways, the fifth largest domestic airline, has selected Systemware to be its enterprise content management “repository of record” and provide enhanced capabilities that will increase access to critical information as well as cost savings.
As a result of the 2005 merger between US Airways and America West Airlines, the newly combined company had several content repositories by multiple vendors with some repositories managed by an outsourcer. US Airways went through an extensive evaluation process ultimately deciding to consolidate all of its repositories to Systemware Content Server.
Systemware Content Server captures, indexes, stores, and manages all structured and unstructured content effectively reducing costs, improving customer service response time, and accelerating workflow. Departments across US Airways can now access and share critical information online in a variety of formats. Using proven migration tools and services, Systemware quickly and easily migrated and consolidated legacy data stored in various content repositories to a single enterprise content management software platform.
“We selected Systemware due to the power of their migration tools and methodology, ability to scale, ease of uses, and the platform-independent nature of their solution,” said Todd Christy, Managing Director of Technology Operations for US Airways. “We saved in outsourcing expenditures and are continuing to realize cost savings as well as improved corporate functionality.”
"We are pleased to continue to expand our relationship with US Airways. The decision to consolidate all repositories of the combined corporation to Systemware speaks to the true power and scalability of our content management solution,” said Frankie Basso, vice president of marketing for Systemware. "Systemware Content Server is well suited to the needs of large organizations like US Airways that need to manage significant amounts of information and make it rapidly available across the enterprise."
